The Condado Collection is a collection of hospitality properties in Puerto Rico, from classic and modern luxury hotels to restaurants and entertainment. The Condado Vanderbilt is the standard of excellence for luxury resorts in San Juan and the Caribbean. Originally built in 1919, and restored to its distinguished grandeur, it offers unparalleled gastronomy, exquisite rooms and suites, and personalized service. Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards, anticipate and meet guest service needs, and thank them with genuine appreciation.
Attend to guests at the reception, providing the highest level of service possible in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner.
Perform all tasks in accordance with hotel policies, procedures, internal rules, and standards.
Be informed about daily hotel operations, review daily event sheets, bulletin boards, and be aware of all changes, new procedures, and events.
Know the room rates, packages, discounts, and promotions, and understand how to manage them effectively.
Follow all cash handling and banking procedures to efficiently check out guests.
Perform guest registration and room assignment, and accommodate special requests of all guests.
Answer phones in accordance with proper etiquette standards.
Know how to handle safe deposit boxes.
Be familiar with the AM, PM, and nightly checklist to ensure smooth daily operations.
Balance nightly audit transactions for the daily sales ledger information.
Reconcile daily cash deposits from the reception and outlets.
Follow all company safety and health policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the Front Desk Manager.
Complete safety training and certifications.
Ensure the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to achieve common goals.
Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by supervisors.
Qualifications
Hospitality oriented. High school diploma or equivalent; preferably Hotel Management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office. Ability to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays. Completely bilingual (Spanish/English). The Condado Collection is an equal opportunity employer.
