The Condado Collection is a collection of hospitality properties in Puerto Rico, from classic and modern luxury hotels to restaurants and entertainment. The Condado Vanderbilt is the standard of excellence for luxury resorts in San Juan and the Caribbean. Ensures optimal room allocation for guests, balancing inventory and maximizing occupancy levels. This position involves working closely with the Front Desk team to manage room allocations, oversee room status, and provide exceptional guest service to enhance the overall guest experience. Manages and assigns rooms to guests based on reservations, guest preferences, and special requests. Monitors room availability and occupancy levels to optimize room allocations. Coordinates with the housekeeping department to ensure prompt room readiness and maintain updated room status. Handles overbooking situations and arranges alternative accommodations when necessary. Ensures that guest requests and preferences are met, including special accommodations, room upgrades, and VIP arrangements. Resolves guest issues related to room allocations, providing solutions and maintaining guest satisfaction. Communicates effectively with guests about room availability, changes, and special arrangements. Works closely with the Front Desk, Reservations, and Housekeeping teams to ensure seamless operations. Coordinates with sales and events teams to manage group bookings and room blocks. Collaborates with the maintenance team to address and resolve room-related issues promptly. Maintains accurate records of room allocations, changes, and guest preferences. Prepares reports on room occupancy, guest preferences, and special requests. Assists in the training and mentoring of new team members in room control procedures. Follows all company policies and procedures, as well as safety policies; reports accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the manager; and completes safety training and certifications. Ensures that the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information. Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor. Qualifications
Hospitality oriented High school diploma or equivalent; preferably Hotel Management Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Ability to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure Must be able to stand for extended periods Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays Bilingual (Spanish/English) The Condado Collection is an equal opportunity employer.
