Production Supervisor
Weyerhaeuser is seeking a Production Supervisor for our lumber manufacturing facility in Philadelphia, MS. The Production Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of a team of hourly employees. This includes the safety, production, and quality goals of our Mill. The Production Supervisor is committed to continuous improvement in safety, cost management, process improvement, plant scheduling, production flows, staffing and housekeeping.
Key Functions: Responsible for providing daily leadership and oversight of hourly production employees to ensure safe and efficient execution of work Ensure job and safety rules are understood and followed by all employees Role model our Core Values (Safety, Integrity, Citizenship, Sustainability, and Inclusion) and People Principles (Appreciate, Respect, Listen, Communicate and Value) to foster a positive work environment, and ensure open communication among employees. Lead the team by proactively resolving employee issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner Understand the process flow and provide solutions to issues Develop and lead team meetings and training Own and/or contribute to other mill functions, such as safety, environmental, or LEAN initiatives Identify safety, quality, and production issues Participate in incident investigations and follow-up activities Active involvement in assigning work and evaluating job performance Support, coach, and provide timely feedback and direction to employees Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Three years of strong supervisory experience Leadership skills that include a proven ability to coach employees to a higher level of performance Strong people skills with a result-oriented focus Good planning, organizational skills, and problem-solving capabilities Experience in routine manufacturing concepts such as housekeeping, ergonomics and labor efficiency Flexible work hours are necessary to meet the needs of a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Must be willing to work any required shift and on weekends as needed Physical ability to work in extreme temperatures and be ambulatory for most of an assigned shift. Effective problem-solving techniques and ability to make process improvement recommendations Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills Committed to professional ethical standards Demonstrated ability to raise performance by building and maintaining positive relationships with all associates through coaching, development and instilling a continuous improvement mind-set Ability to handle large volumes of work, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to learn and comprehend the entire manufacturing process. Preferred Qualifications

Compensation
This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $68,371-$102,556 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 5% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target. Benefits
