The Records Specialist I role, reporting to Supervisor, Health Information, will allow the Record Specialists to stay organized and complete tasks that allow them to focus on more advanced responsibilities. This role will work hand in hand with the EMO Records team to facilitate world class second opinions in a high-performing, fast-paced environment. A day in the life... Provide guidance and education to team members on the utilization and optimization of internal and external technology, workflow troubleshooting, and concern escalation. Process a limited number of incoming records via mail services. Provide initial triage and escalation support to the assigned team member when encountering difficult-to-upload records or images. Serve as the liaison between Records team members to address any abrasions or deviations from established processes, including RROIS, FEDEX labels, and uploads. Process Reverse Release of Information to send to facility. Manage the Records email inbox, process physical records, and assist with moving electronic sharing/imaging to cases. Create CDs for medical facility and members. What we are looking for... Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED w/5+ years of relevant experience 1 year of professional experience in a hospital or medical office setting with experience in medical records Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Strong customer service skills Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Comfortable with the pressure of deadline-focused work, and also have the self-discipline to create and adhere to self-imposed deadlines. Experience reviewing and/or identifying Oncology and/or Pediatric medical records is preferred Proficient with Apple/Mac technology preferred The salary range for this role is: $40500-$58700 Annually Total rewards include comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits, including access to Accolade Advocacy, Accolade Care, and Accolade EMO.
