Health Information Supervisor

As a Health Information Supervisor you will be leading, supporting, and coaching a team Records Specialists. Leading the team, you will ensure the team is properly collecting and organizing medical information to help facilitate world-class health care. Your role will enable your team to give great customer care. You will develop and grow your team and help them meet their performance objectives. Our Team Leads are hands-on working leaders who have a passion for service excellence. A day in the life Manage the Team Manages team performance through case audits, maintaining case accuracy within the case database, call audits, weekly case/metric reporting, and regular 1:1 meetings with team members, escalating themes and trends Evaluate performance metrics and helps facilitate bonus/incentive payments related to said metrics Partner with People and Culture Business Partners to provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention Conduct on-going quality evaluations of team members, and coach on opportunities to improve Manages team schedules to ensure adequate staffing to meet operational needs and provides timely reviews and approvals of teams attendance Manage the Business Monitors the overall maintenance of information and tracks data related to customer case status Supports in driving defined metrics to deliver on customer performance expectations Collaborate with leadership to refine, improve, and develop new policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the department workflow Partners with other peers to identify and communicate risks to stakeholders and resolve problems to ensure service quality is maintained at the highest level Assist with projects as needed and work collaboratively with other departments Career Development and Growth Responsible for the onboarding, career development and growth of your team Advocates for continuous training, learning, and development Develops training tools and updates as needed Supports in hiring, developing, and retaining top talent Ad-hoc tasks based on the business needs What we are looking for Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of relevant experience 3+ years of experience in a data management position, preferably in a healthcare, insurance, pharma or any related sector 1+ years of team leading experience and demonstrated success in hiring, motivating, and developing talent Excellent knowledge of English language, strong communication skills both in written and verbal Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize own tasks effectively General computer literacy Strong attention to detail Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills Strong critical thinking and problem solving Operational process execution Internal applicants: Successful tenure at a level III position is required The salary range for this role is: $60300-$90500 Annually Total Rewards Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate's skills, experience, market demands, and internal equity. Salary is just one component of Transcarent's total package.
