Warehouse Supervisor

Job Summary The Warehouse Supervisor contributes to the ongoing logistics of plant operations by providing skilled to expert-level knowledge of receiving packaging materials, raw ingredients, equipment and parts while coordinating the shipment of finished goods with a "safety first" mindset. This position is responsible for guiding, assisting, training, mentoring and leading the warehouse team in the completion of daily warehouse duties in a safe, efficient and accurate manner. The supervisor's responsibilities include troubleshooting any logistics or warehouse operations as necessary and schedule/support the warehouse team. All NLX Supervisors have the responsibility to work with the Quality Department to ensure food safety. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Utilize the daily shipping schedule to plan, coordinate, and lead warehouse team activities, ensuring the efficient and timely flow of both inbound and outbound trailers throughout the day Schedule warehouse personnel effectively to meet daily inbound, outbound, and production support requirements Partner with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure all trailers are loaded and unloaded on schedule, minimizing delays and maximizing dock utilization Oversee the inspection and release of outbound finished goods, ensuring shipments meet all quality standards including correct pallet configurations, product integrity, trailer cleanliness, weight compliance, and order accuracy Ensure all inbound raw materials and packaging supplies are received in acceptable condition, with any discrepancies or damages promptly documented and addressed Collaborate with the Inventory Control Specialist to ensure accurate inventory Work collaboratively with other department supervisors to ensure smooth execution of daily operations across the entire facility Monitor and replenish departmental supplies as needed and within approved budget Serve as the primary point of contact for all forklift-related concerns. Coordinate with the forklift maintenance provider to ensure the fleet remains in optimal operating condition Foster employee growth through coaching and performance feedback Manage accurate and timely approval of time records, paid time off requests, and attendance accountability Promote and enforce adherence to all safety policies and procedures, maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment at all times Perform all other duties as assigned Education and Skills High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in a relevant field preferred Minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment required Experience with ERP/WMS systems
SAGE experience a plus Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Must be able to interpret and convey safety procedures, technical documents, and operational instructions effectively Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop team members. Experience in resolving conflicts, facilitating team performance, and maintaining high morale and accountability Demonstrated aptitude for identifying process issues and implementing practical solutions under minimal supervision Skilled in prioritizing tasks, managing shift workflows, and adapting to shifting production demands Competent in basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Able to work with weights, measures, and calculators Comfortable working with basic computer systems, production interfaces, and inventory tracking tools Familiarity with manufacturing safety protocols and basic food production principles is a plus Reliable, hands-on, and adaptable with a team-oriented attitude. Demonstrates initiative and accountability in high-pressure environments Physical Demands Willingness to work additional hours, and tailor schedule appropriately, to support team goals and meet project deadlines. Must possess adequate vision, hearing, and verbal communication skills to meet essential job performance and safety standards. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly perform physical tasks such as pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, and using hands for detailed tasks. Physically capable of performing tasks such as lifting, climbing, and using hand and power tools, including pallet jacks, scales, ladders, and standard material handling and cleaning equipment. Capable of safely lifting up to 55 pounds; ability to handle heavier items with proper lifting equipment or team-assisted techniques to ensure safety. Work Environment Employees must be able to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment that may include exposure to odors, dust, moderate noise levels, and fluctuations in temperature and ventilation. Work environment may involve exposure to inclement weather. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times, which may include but is not limited to: safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, gloves, hairnets, uniforms, and face shields, as required by specific job duties and safety protocols.
