Billing Clerk / Data Entry Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Billing Clerk/Data Entry Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is critical to ensuring accurate billing, maintaining customer records, and supporting financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to analyze billing data to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end billing processes, including invoice preparation and delivery. Enter and verify detailed shipment quote and billing data with high accuracy. Maintain and update customer records in billing systems. Collaborate with supervisors and managers to verify charges and resolve discrepancies. Prepare and issue invoices, credit memos, and billing statements via mail or email. Calculate amounts owed and ensure timely invoicing. Respond to billing-related inquiries with professionalism and clarity. Support document management and customer service functions. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure smooth billing cycles. Required Skills & Qualifications
High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and billing. Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve billing discrepancies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Experience in billing, quoting, customer service, and accounts receivable. Excellent communication and organizational skills. High school diploma or GED required. Experience in transportation, logistics, or medical billing is a plus. Work Environment
Office-based team of 13 with a lively, collaborative atmosphere. Casual dress code (excluding workout wear). Music and conversation-friendly environment. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
