Senior Accounts Payable Associate
BizTek People is seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Associate for our client in New York City. Responsibilities: Manage full-cycle accounts payable processes and understand the upstream and downstream impacts Support daily AP operations including invoice entry, account reconciliation, invoice resolution, and status tracking across a global organization Perform month-end and year-end closing tasks such as journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules Conduct detailed reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of AP ledger balances Assist with internal and external audits by providing financial documentation and responding to inquiries Support annual 1099 and 1042 tax filings Participate in special projects related to accounting and financial reporting Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, systems, and internal controls Identify and implement process improvements and contribute to new business initiatives Manage corporate and purchasing card applications and reconciliations Assist with updating internal policies, communication materials, and training documentation Resolve AP issues in accordance with company policies Qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years of accounts payable experience Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software systems High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong customer service and communication abilities Effective time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Committed to meeting deadlines and working with urgency when needed Education: Associate's degree or equivalent
