Howard County Government is offering a contingent position with a salary range of $16.00 to $32.00 per hour in Columbia, MD. The position is located within the Recreation & Parks department and was opened on November 22, 2024, with a continuous closing date. Position Summary/Class Description Brief Description:
A variety of instructional classes are offered throughout the County such as: creative and dramatic arts, dance, movement, cooking and general children's recreational classes.
Duties: To teach, organize and supervise an instructional class in a specific area of expertise. Oversee use of facilities. Keep records of class attendance. Ensure physical and emotional safety of program participants. Special Qualifications/Skills: Sufficient skill in a specific area. Ability to develop a teaching plan for a diversified group of people. Ability to demonstrate skills and to communicate directions effectively. Experience:
At least two years of experience in specific program area. Education:
Possess experience and/or formal training of the specific skill. Rate of Pay:
Contingent - Professional Minimum wage-$32.00 per hour Salary commensurate with experience.
