We're looking for an Accounting Specialist 2 to join our Bursar's Office. As an Accounting Specialist 2, you will perform advanced accounting and fiscal activities to support financial operations and ensure compliance with state regulations. Minimum Qualifications
Two years of experience or training in accounting, auditing, bookkeeping, or financial operations or computations. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will substitute for one year of the required experience. Job Specification

Job Duties: In this role, you will:
Process and monitor complex financial transactions including appropriations, expenditures, revenues, and transfers
Prepare and reconcile financial reports, ledgers, and trial balances on a regular basis
Analyze budget allocations and actual expenditures to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
Maintain and review documentation for compliance with statutory, policy, and audit requirements
Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close-out activities, including accruals and adjustments
Assist with financial forecasting, budget preparation, and cash-flow management
Review and validate purchase orders, invoices, travel reimbursements, and payroll entries
