Quality Inspector
to join its team. This facility specializes in high-tolerance machined components and assemblies, serving a variety of industries across North America. The organization is committed to continuous improvement, timely delivery, and exceptional quality standards. #1939LID
Position Overview:
The Quality Inspector plays a key role in supporting the execution of the company's Quality Management System. This includes conducting product inspections, submitting first article reports, participating in corrective and preventive actions, performing internal audits, and facilitating communication with customers and suppliers. The role also involves coaching team members to enhance their understanding and application of quality assurance practices.
Pay:
$22-$24/hr. DOE.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday 7:30 AM-5 PM
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct and document inspections of raw materials, components, and assemblies using: Precision hand tools Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) Functional testing equipment ERP/shop floor systems Customer portals Interpret and apply acceptance criteria based on internal and customer specifications. Identify and report discrepancies in drawings or specifications. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quality assurance.
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in a quality inspection role within a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with identifying and managing product Key Characteristics. Solid understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment:
This role involves a mix of office and shop floor settings. The office environment is temperature-controlled with moderate noise levels, while the production area includes machining and assembly operations.
