Position Summary:
Delivery of treatment services to children aged 0-21 years
Evaluation services
Department responsibilities related to the job
Position Functions and Responsibilities:
Provide treatment for 10–12 patients daily
Supervise student interns as directed by the Manager
Conduct initial Physical Therapy evaluations and re-evaluations
Develop and review patient care plans with the Physiatrist
Participate in clinical quality assurance initiatives
Educate patients verbally, visually, or through written documentation
Complete reporting activities as per regulatory and departmental standards, including:
Daily therapy notes
Progress reports with updates
Rehabilitation rounds/staff conferences
Other assigned activities, e.g., splinting
Ensure compliance with ESCR policies on quality, safety, infection control, confidentiality, customer service, attendance, dress code, and professional conduct
Participate in departmental in-services and staff development
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Physical Therapy with NYS license as a registered Physical Therapist; license must be maintained in good standing
Experience in a clinical pediatric environment
