Office Assistant
Job Location: Palmdale, California
Job Type: Temporary
Pay Rate: $21-$21.14/hour
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 7:30am-6pm
Description of Position:
Do you have office assistant experience and enjoy being the friendly face at the front desk? Our client is seeking a temporary Office Assistant to cover for an internal leave of absence. This role is ideal for someone with strong clerical skills who can multitask, greet visitors, and keep operations running smoothly. As the first person to arrive each day, you’ll open the lobby, welcome visitors, and handle the main phone line, directing calls to the right departments. You’ll also assist with mail, deliveries, and general administrative duties.
Job Responsibilities:
Answer and transfer phone calls to the proper personnel
Sort and distribute incoming mail
Log deliveries and greet residents, staff, and community members warmly
Maintain a clean and organized workstation
Open the lobby doors at the start of the day and secure them at closing
Provide directions and general information to visitors
Assist with additional clerical tasks as assigned
Description of Company: You will be supporting a government agency in a city in Los Angeles County, California. Experience Required:
Previous experience as an office assistant or in a clerical role
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to multitask in a busy environment
Professional demeanor and appearance
Reliable and punctual
