Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our clinical team in Waller, TX . The ideal candidate will be experienced in performing audiometric testing and general medical assistant duties in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform audiometric/hearing tests using the Shoebox audiometry program for a large client population.
- Accurately record test results and enter data into the facility's electronic medical records (EMR) system.
- Support clinic operations during testing downtimes, including assisting with exams, treatments, patient education, and general clinical tasks.
- Conduct nursing assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper documentation practices.
- Provide compassionate care to a diverse, multilingual patient population.
- Active certification as a Medical Assistant through AAMA, AMT, NHA, or NAHP .
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- 2-4 years of experience in a clinical or medical office setting.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to use a 10-key keypad by touch.
- Familiarity with Epic EMR is a plus.
- CAOHC certification (Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation) is a plus but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Comfortable working with a high patient volume and multilingual populations.
