Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented

Product Quality Control Specialist

to join our team in Palo Alto, California. In this role, you will ensure our products meet the highest quality standards and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement. Your work will directly impact the quality and performance of our products and operations.

This position is 2nd shift, Monday to Friday, 11am-8pm.

Primarily based in Palo Alto, California, with some support (~15%) in San Jose, California.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols, SOPs, and proper documentation.

Maintain adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO).

Collaborate with engineering to review production schedules and product acceptance based on Device Master Records.

Support manufacturing by managing nonconforming reports and evaluating issues using risk-based approaches.

Engage on the manufacturing floor to identify process improvements and support validation activities.

Act as the interface between Quality Assurance and other departments to drive quality improvements.

Contribute to the calibration program by authoring procedures and leading investigations.

Use automated tools and dashboards to analyze quality data and support decision-making.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree and/or 3-5 years of relevant experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ERP systems (SAP, MES, Workday).

Strong problem-solving skills with data analysis experience.

Knowledge of quality control principles and manufacturing environments.

Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate.

Detail-oriented with good time management skills.

Experience with automated data collection and quality data analysis.

Understanding of regulatory standards (FDA, ISO).

Ability to adapt and improve processes continuously.
