The Senior Process Engineer will lead as a process engineer and supervisor in developing design packages, studies, and technical proposals. This individual will also process technology guidance from managers, with minimal supervision.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Manage the development and maintenance of process books by: Conceiving the flow scheme Simulating the unit Developing comprehensive PFDs, MFDs, and P&IDs Specifying all equipment, lines, and instruments Checking junior engineers' work Material selection for various services and technologies System engineering requirements and implications Writing process books and operating instructions Supporting Technology Experts or Technical Services staff on-site Leading technical proposals Executing process studies and technology improvements Participating in startup of industrial facilities Training client personnel Developing Methods, Standards, Procedures documents Developing, configuring, and optimizing industrial processes from inception to startup Assessing unit performance via data collection and interpretation Leading projects, communicating phases, and implementing process improvements Implementing process control standards and SOPs Ensuring compliance with Design & Development Procedures Proficient in Process Engineering tools and process simulation software (Pro II) Leading revamp projects and managing small projects Evaluating product pools Supporting Technical Services or operating units Applying safety methodologies and reviews (PHA, LOPA) Additional requirements include: Global travel up to 20% Weekly communication with clients and EPCs Implementing Management of Change processes Education
Bachelor’s degree in chemical or petroleum engineering required; Master’s preferred. Work Experience
Over 10 years in refining/petrochemical industry, with demonstrated ability to work independently, lead engineering and process supervision roles. Skills and Abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong organizational and analytical skills QHSE Requirements
Responsibilities include maintaining quality, health and safety, and environmental standards, supporting ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and ISO 14001:2015 compliance, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
