Job Summary: Siemens is a global technology company focused on industry, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. They are seeking a motivated Application Engineer to join their Sales Acceleration team, where the role involves driving automation sales success and providing technical support throughout the sales lifecycle. Responsibilities: • Serve as a technical lead on automation opportunities, guiding customers and sales teams through solution development. • Provide application-level support for Siemens automation products (e.g., PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, Drives, Industrial Networks). • Conduct discovery meetings with customers to understand project requirements and identify the best-fit solutions. • Develop and deliver compelling product demonstrations and proof-of-concept configurations. • Create technical documentation such as system architecture diagrams, configuration notes, and BOMs. • Applies acquired process, product and/or equipment knowledge based on current industry trends, best practices, performance, price, and functionality. • Performs complex hardware and/or software design consultation in accordance with customer/project needs. • Works closely with Account Managers and Sales Specialists to achieve sales and market growth. • Resolves very complex technical problems to meet customers' needs. Acts as one escalation point for major customer technical issues when on-site issue resolution is required. • Supports marketing and knowledge transfer through participation on at least one technology core team. • Provides periodic knowledge transfer events with channel partners in coordination with the Channel Account Manager. • Supports our channel on opportunities in collaboration with the channel application engineer and sales team. • Generates technical collateral such as application notes and examples for reuse by others. Qualifications: Required: • 5+ years of experience in automation/motion control systems and demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge as described above. • 2+ years experience with project management • Must possess a valid driver's license with limited violations • Bachelor of Science in electrical/computer/mechanical engineering or computer science • Must be a United States Citizen to have access to certain Federal office/job site locations. Preferred: • Industrial Networking • Motion Control and Drives • Prior experience with Siemens Automation is a plus Company: Siemens empowers customers to transform the industries that form the backbone of economies: industry, transportation, buildings and grids.
