Job Number: R0221294 The Opportunity: A well-designed network is critical to move data and enable the U.S. Air Force to achieve their missions. Crafting the right network, with the right equipment and software, requires technical skill and careful planning. We need an experienced network engineer who can develop the exact network the DoD needs. As a network engineer on our team, you'll use your experience in network design and architecture, system interoperability, OSI model, network transport layers, multi-protocol label switching, gateway protocol, virtual routing, and forwarding to support the nation's defense and respond to evolving adversaries. You'll support enterprise-wide infrastructure, troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, analyze current infrastructures, and increase security, reliability, and availability for mission-critical network systems. You will apply your expertise in routing and switching, encryption integration, network design, system interoperability, IP engineering, and more, to help the DoD evolve and deploy new capabilities and technologies. Your knowledge of network protocols, equipment, emerging technology, and configurations will be valuable in optimizing client operations and modernization. You Have: 3+ years of experience installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting DoD classified and unclassified networks, including routers, switches, and cabling. Knowledge of network transport mediums, including fiber, wireless, and copper, as well as networking backbones and security devices. Ability to install or maintain communication infrastructure equipment and services, configure IP address space and VLANs, and maintain accurate enterprise network diagrams. TS/SCI clearance. Associate's degree and 7+ years of experience in network engineering, Bachelor's degree and 3+ years, or 9+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice If You Have: Knowledge of DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), customer guidance, and best security practices. Ability to document and maintain accurate enterprise network architecture diagrams per change management and DoDAF. Excellent technical writing skills.

Clearance: Applicants must be eligible for a security investigation; TS/SCI clearance is required. Compensation: Salary ranges from $99,000 to $225,000 annually, depending on various factors.
