Summary:
The Design Director, Marketplace plays a critical strategic role in evolving and defining the experience for our third-party sellers, from onboarding to making their first sale and supporting their growth. You will innovate and empower sellers to expand their business, creating seamless, consumer-grade experiences that simplify onboarding and account management, while providing insights to improve sales. The goal is to make the Marketplace the top choice for third-party sellers to showcase their offerings. You will guide the team to simplify complex processes, ensuring experiences are easy, delightful, trusted, and unique. Employ storytelling to present your vision and design rationale convincingly. Collaborate with partners to create engaging, usable experiences and deliver detailed, pixel-perfect designs. Innovate on a global stage to shape the future of retail and beyond. Qualifications include:
A strategic mindset and systems thinking; experience as a change maker; understanding of eCommerce; excellent visual and interaction design skills; ability to communicate concepts clearly; a track record of delivering high-impact customer-facing products; experience in fast-paced environments that value experimentation; leading product design processes; and fostering inclusive design philosophies. Impact:
Lead the Customer Experience Product Design team, foster creative problem-solving, drive best-in-class experiences, leverage research and data, promote a maker mindset, and build holistic end-to-end experiences. Be adaptable from deep design thinking to rapid execution. The target compensation range is $190k - $200k, based on various factors.
