22669 Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Sr. LVN will provide direct patient care for diverse patient population within Hematology/Oncology Community Clinics, working with faculty physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, nursing staff, patient services staff, and ancillary personnel. Job Qualifications
Required: BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. CA LVN License with IV therapy and blood withdrawal. Knowledge of instruments and supplies for physical examinations and procedures. Ability to take vital signs, administer medications, and obtain drug refills. Ability to recognize abnormal laboratory values and report to physicians. Knowledge of symptoms of common and life-threatening medical problems. Excellent interpersonal skills for working with physicians, staff, and health providers. CPR skills. Keyboard literacy for data entry in computerized systems. License issued by the CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners with IV therapy and blood withdrawal. Competency in IV skills. Possession of BLS certification from AHA or ARC. Punctuality and good attendance. Ability to lift and carry at least 30 pounds. Ability to submit quality work timely.
