Minimum Qualifications:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an approved credentialing board (NHA, AMT, NCCT, etc.)
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is a plus.
- Additional certifications in specialized areas of healthcare.
- Prepares patients for physical examinations to include checking and recording vital signs, weight, medications taking and chief complaint.
- Understands and utilizes universal precautions and follows Infection Control procedures.
- Assists the physician in exams, procedures, minor surgeries, and giving injections.
- Stocks and maintains the exam rooms.
- Cleans instruments, maintains and autoclaves instruments
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, drawing blood, and administering injections.
- Manage patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow to optimize clinic operations.
- Provide education and support to patients regarding their health and treatment plans.
