QC Inspector - 3rd Shift

Position Summary
The role involves performing skilled inspections of aircraft parts, structures, and systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and specifications. This includes both visual and dimensional inspections. The inspector must read and adhere to instructions and safety information to complete tasks properly and safely.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Conduct both simple and complex inspection procedures on aircraft parts, structures, and systems in line with applicable standards and specifications. Perform primary and buy-back inspections as assigned. Accurately conduct visual and dimensional inspections. Document inspection items clearly, noting any discrepancies. Utilize micrometers, gauges, calipers, indicators, and other measuring instruments and test equipment for skilled inspection work. Perform NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) and/or borescope inspections when applicable. Prepare necessary records such as inspection documentation, logs, or other records thoroughly, legibly, and promptly. Ensure previously noted and repaired items are properly completed and documented through buy-back inspections. Interpret blueprints, drawings, and other technical data. Research and retrieve technical data as needed. Maintain current knowledge of technical information and inspection techniques through research and technical reading. Lift and carry measuring instruments, tools, and test equipment; ascend and descend ladders and platforms; and work in various positions such as stooping, kneeling, or squatting. Follow safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment for the work being performed. Read instructions and safety information as necessary for the proper and safe completion of assigned work. Communicate effectively in English regarding work activities, in accordance with FAA requirements. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements
Academic Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Languages
Must be able to read, write, and speak effectively in English regarding safety-sensitive work activities, per FAA requirements. Special Licenses
FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate in good standing. Previous Experience
Minimum of four (4) years of aircraft maintenance experience on aircraft types consistent with those serviced by Flightstar, providing knowledge of inspection and measurement techniques, related work techniques, terminology, parts, etc. Technical Skills
Perform daily transactions within Flightstar's ERP system (AMROS), vending (POU), and research customer's maintenance manuals. Physical Requirements
Lift and carry hand tools, parts, and work materials; ascend and descend ladders and platforms; and frequently work in various positions such as stooping, kneeling, or squatting. Working Conditions
