SUMMARY: To monitor purchasing orders for compliance of TEA, State, Federal & local guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following:

Maintains, monitors, and enforces compliance of purchasing regulations for all district purchases.

Manages the District Purchase orders, Purchasing Card Program and Frontline Enterprise Resource Planning (FERP) system.

Provides customer support to all district users for online ordering.

Conducts monthly & a yearly purchasing procedure training for new & current district personnel.

Assists in annual budget planning & maintaining departmental budget accounts.

Manages and oversees the District Furniture Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) System.

Assists with and processes orders for renovation/additions or new schools.

Manages and approves District Amazon orders.

Manages Sole Source submissions and listings.

Updates annual IRS meal and mileage reimbursement rates for the District.

Generates and provides financial and procurement reports as requested.

Oversees and assists the Purchasing Specialist on purchases from the State & Co-Op Agencies.

Serves as Purchasing Services Office Manager; keeps inventory and replenishes office supplies.

Establishes and maintains vendor relations.

Updates personnel on all changes in purchasing policies.

Maintains director's calendar, schedules meetings, and prepares materials for those meetings.

Establishes and maintains appropriate files for Purchasing Services.

Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director for Purchasing Services.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates Degree and one year experience in a related field; or High School Diploma or GED and three years' experience in a related field.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
