The North Dakota Industrial Commission is seeking a

Grant Program Specialist

to administer grant programs that are fueling North Dakota's energy innovation and leadership.

Serving a key role in administering grant programs that are under the authority of the North Dakota Industrial Commission, you'll be at the center of energy innovation driven by the Lignite Research, Development and Marketing Program, the Oil and Gas Research Program, the Renewable Energy Research Program, and the Clean Sustainable Energy Authority, and various short term grant programs. Currently, the Industrial Commission energy related grant programs include 51 active grants totaling over $90 million in grant awards that are fueling the future of energy in North Dakota.

Salary:

$60,000 - $70,000/year depending on experience; plus a comprehensive benefit package including fully paid family health insurance and retirement plan options.

Location:

This role is based onsite at the North Dakota State Capitol.

What You'll Do:

Lead the coordination and management of critical program elements for Industrial Commission grant programs including: Overseeing the grant management technology system Assisting the Deputy Director in the administration of grant contracts Providing technical assistance to grant applicants and recipients, to support their success from point of application to completion of contract deliverables Manage meetings and records for all Industrial Commission grant programs including:

Organizing and facilitating grant program advisory boards meetings Drafting minutes of grant program advisory board meetings Managing all records related to grant applications for the review process, and managing all records related to grant awards. Providing administrative guidance and support for application and award processes Supporting communications regarding grant awards and program accomplishments To succeed in this position,

you must be able to understand and administer processes and policies, possess excellent communication skills to effectively convey program information, organize and manage large quantities of records, and support numerous and diverse stakeholders that are part of the grant award process.

To be considered for the position you must have an:

Associate degree or higher 3+ years of professional work experience in grant administration or contract management, or in roles providing relevant fiscal and administrative support. Preferred candidates will have experience in an energy or natural resources related field.
