Position Summary:
The EHS Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all environmental, health, and safety programs for a manufacturing facility. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, drives a culture of safety, and supports continuous improvement initiatives that protect employees, the environment, and company assets.

Key Responsibilities: Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of site EHS programs, policies, and procedures. Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and implement corrective actions. Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees, including new hire orientation and job-specific safety requirements. Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and manage any inspections or inquiries. Investigate incidents, near-misses, and occupational illnesses, identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures. Partner with operations leadership to integrate EHS considerations into daily plant activities and long-term planning. Oversee environmental programs such as waste management, air emissions, stormwater, and spill prevention. Track and analyze EHS metrics, reporting trends and recommendations to leadership. Lead emergency preparedness and response planning, including drills and equipment readiness. Foster a strong safety culture through employee engagement, recognition programs, and proactive communication.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field (advanced degree or professional certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferred). 5+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and relevant regulatory standards. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Excellent communication and training facilitation abilities. Proven track record of driving safety culture improvements and achieving measurable results. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
Work Environment: This position requires regular presence on the production floor and occasional travel for training, audits, or corporate meetings.
