JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for our client, an American manufacturer of luxury hot tubs, swim spas and pools, based out of Las Vegas, NV. This Engineer will help bridge the gap between product design and production, ensuring a smooth transition from concept to manufacturing, while driving continuous improvement across operations. This is an individual contributor role, and this person will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimizing products and manufacturing processes to meet quality, cost, and delivery targets. He/She will be heavily involved in the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects. Experience with AutoCAD for plant layout and floor flow is beneficial.

Responsibilities Include: - Design and improve manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost. - Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs. - Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs of new technology or automation in an effort to streamline and improve product development and manufacturing operations. - Support the implementation of lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects. - Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions using root cause analysis tools - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, Purchasing, Production) to ensure manufacturability and scalability of designs.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - 5+ years of Engineering experience with a focus on hands-on work in manufacturing - Strong background with Lean manufacturing methodologies (Lean Six Sigma) - Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks or another 3D CAD software - B.S. Degree in Design, Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacture Engineering
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE - Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems - Lean Six Sigma
