Job Description: The Assembly Technician I performs workstation assembly operations, including sewing and packaging of medical devices in a cleanroom environment. This role involves inspecting incomplete and finished components for conformance to written specifications using a microscope, following standard work methods, and practicing safe work habits to ensure efficient and safe production.
Responsibilities: Sew and assemble components to specification in a cleanroom environment. Inspect materials, components, in-process assemblies, and finished goods using a microscope. Maintain accurate production and inspection records. Assist with monitoring, cleaning, and testing the cleanroom environment. Batch components for daily production. A fully trained technician is expected to master sewing techniques for all product lines. Maintain a quality-first mentality in all job functions. Meet high standards for both quality and production expectations. Adhere to cleanroom Good Manufacturing Practices regarding behavior and attire. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience in inspection, assembly, or similar intricate hand work preferred. Familiarity with FDA and ISO manufacturing practices preferred. Basic computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, internet, and email. Ability to read and understand detailed manufacturing instructions and drawings. Proficiency in using a microscope. Availability to work Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, with occasional overtime and Saturdays.
Physical Requirements: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to lift or bend forward with a load of up to 25 lbs. Tolerance for environments with cooler temperatures, noise, dust, odors, etc. Good or corrected eyesight and strong eye/hand coordination.
