3/2/2/3 – Work 3 Days; Off 2 Days; Work 2 Days; & Off 3 Days (*Every other weekend would be off) NIGHT SHIFT ONLY:

Job Summary Statement:
The Engineering Technician will play a key role in supporting engineering teams with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems used in the production of solar modules. This position requires technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Performs routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on production equipment and machinery used in solar module manufacturing. Assists in the installation, setup, and calibration of new equipment and systems for manufacturing processes, ensuring all are working within specified parameters. Provides hands-on support to engineering teams, including troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control system issues, and offering solutions to production problems. Collects operational data from equipment, track performance metrics, and assist in analyzing trends to identify potential improvements in production efficiency and product quality. Maintains accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and calibration activities, ensuring all documentation complies with company standards and regulatory requirements. Collaborates with engineering and production teams to identify areas for process improvements, provide feedback on equipment performance, and suggest ways to optimize the manufacturing process. Ensures that all maintenance and troubleshooting activities are carried out in accordance with safety guidelines, promoting a safe work environment. Assists in training production staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment, ensuring proper procedures are followed. Minimum Requirements and Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an engineering technician, maintenance technician, or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment. Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), motors, sensors, and control systems. Familiarity with solar module manufacturing processes is preferred. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities with attention to detail. Ability to effectively communicate technical issues and solutions to engineering and production teams. Ability to work collaboratively within a team and coordinate with different departments to ensure smooth operations. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work with various tools and equipment, and stand for long periods of time.
