Senior User Researcher , you’ll help define and lead research strategy and execution. We work hard to understand the people we’re designing for, and to deliver useful and usable products that delight. You’ll collaborate with partners in Product Design, Product Management, Data Science, and Engineering to understand user behaviors and translate insights into strategic recommendations. What you'll do
Lead research projects, from generative research to usability testing, to inform product and experience direction. Apply diverse research methods such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and ethnographic studies to understand user navigation across systems, tools, and personnel. Identify pain points, opportunities, and unmet needs through user findings and stakeholder input. Create frameworks like journey maps and service blueprints to facilitate shared understanding and decision-making. Partner with product teams to design studies and inform strategy and design decisions. Promote a culture of user empathy and human-centered design across the organization. Highlight and communicate high-value opportunities for team focus and alignment. Facilitate workshops to align teams on research findings and co-create future journeys. Encourage active participation in research from non-research team members to foster shared understanding of user needs. Qualifications
Expertise in research methods like usability studies, interviews, surveys, and ethnographic research. Proven ability to collaborate across teams and influence product strategies. Ability to manage multiple projects independently. Deep understanding of human-centered design and product development. Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years or Master’s degree with 3-5 years of research experience, or 7+ years of professional research experience. Work samples demonstrating research approach and experience. Bonus: Experience or interest in service design. Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degrees such as Masters in Economics, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychometrics, or Statistics. Experience in retail, supply chain, eCommerce, healthcare industries. Research or design certifications (e.g., IDEOU - Foundations in Design Thinking). Knowledge of creating accessible digital experiences, including WCAG 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies.
