The Role
We’re looking for a
Lifecycle Marketing Specialist
with deep expertise in
Klaviyo
to own our email and SMS strategy from end to end. You’ll be the architect behind our most important retention and conversion touchpoints, driving customer engagement, loyalty, and revenue through powerful lifecycle communications. This is a full-time, in-office position at our HQ in Old Town Scottsdale. What You’ll Do Strategize, build, and manage automated email flows (welcome series, cart abandonment, post-purchase, win-back, etc.) and campaign sends within Klaviyo. Create and manage SMS campaigns via Klaviyo and Attentive, optimizing cadence, compliance, and ROI. Design segmentation strategies that personalize communication and improve engagement across the customer journey. Maintain and optimize email deliverability, sender reputation, and compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and TCPA regulations. Creative + Strategic Execution Write and edit email/SMS copy in line with Sleepyhead’s voice: clear, cheeky, smart, and student-friendly. Collaborate with our design team on visuals, templates, and layouts that drive clicks and conversions. A/B test subject lines, layouts, CTAs, send times, and messaging for continuous improvement. Performance Tracking & Optimization Report on key metrics: open rates, click rates, conversions, unsubscribe rates, and revenue attribution; provide weekly and monthly reports with insights and recommendations. Make data-driven decisions to iterate and improve lifecycle performance. Build testing roadmaps and implement experiments to drive incremental growth. 2–4 years
of hands-on experience with Klaviyo in a DTC e-commerce setting. Strong understanding of
email and SMS strategy, customer journeys, and segmentation. Copywriting and editing skills with a sharp, conversion-minded tone. Experience with Shopify and Google Analytics preferred. A proactive mindset and collaborative spirit—we’re a small but mighty team that moves fast, and this role may involve training team members with your knowledge. Desire to work
in person
with our growing team in Old Town Scottsdale. Bonus Points For Experience with Attentive, Postscript, or similar SMS platforms. Design skills (Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite). Knowledge of flows for seasonal promotions, back-to-school campaigns, and lead nurturing.
