SR HR Business Partner Academic (Finance)

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree and 6 or more years of related experience, or Master's degree in related field and 4 years of HR experience.

Preferred: Experience in higher education; experience with Oracle HCM, specific knowledge of relevant laws and regulations at both state and federal level.

FLSB1310 Equivalency: 4 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for bachelor's degree. 6 years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for master's degree.

Job Responsibilities

Develops a thorough understanding of the academic units to grasp their culture, needs, skills, and development opportunities.

Works independently and collaboratively to provide data-driven solutions that strengthen organizational capabilities.

Partners with leadership to develop talent strategies supporting the culture and employee development.

Monitors HR strategies, systems, and procedures across the academic HR pod; provides recommendations and solutions.

Handles complex employee relations issues, supports investigations, and refers high-risk issues as needed.

Assesses training needs, coordinates training, and manages performance management processes.

Provides strategic support in performance management, compensation, staffing, and training.

Participates in special projects to support strategic partnerships and initiatives.
