with a focus on
Labor & Employment Defense
to join their growing Employment Law Practice. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced attorney to practice at the highest level— without billable hour quotas —in a supportive and collaborative environment that emphasizes client service and professional autonomy.
Position Overview: This role is ideal for a
seasoned employment law litigator
or
counselor
with at least 9 years of experience, who is ready to move into a leadership-level position. Candidates should have significant experience representing employers in California and federal employment matters, as well as a demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and generate business. A
portable book of business is highly preferred , and the firm offers full support to help further develop and expand your practice.
Key Responsibilities Advise employers on a wide range of employment law issues including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage & hour, leaves of absence, discipline, and termination Defend employers in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff and class/PAGA actions in state and federal court Handle administrative agency matters (DFEH/CRD, EEOC, DLSE) Conduct internal investigations and compliance audits Draft employment policies, handbooks, contracts, and separation agreements Develop and lead training sessions for employers on HR compliance and risk management Collaborate with other senior attorneys and firm leadership to expand client relationships and build the practice
Ideal Candidate Profile J.D. from a top-tier law school Active member in good standing with the California State Bar 8+ years of relevant labor & employment defense experience A
portable book of business
(minimum ~$300K preferred; flexible depending on fit)
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between [$300,000 – $400,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Benefits:
