The University of Minnesotas Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Board Certified / Board-eligible Psychiatrist to fill an academic track faculty position in Psychiatry Consult Liaison at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. The position includes:
- Approximately 0.80 clinical FTE serving as an inpatient psychiatrist consulting with inpatient units at the University of Minnesota Medical Center.
- 0.20 FTE dedicated to academic activities such as research, publishing, mentoring, quality improvement projects, and scholarly duties.
Clinically, the role involves collaborating with mental health professionals and psychiatrists to provide in-person and virtual psychiatric consultations within a hospital setting. The faculty member may be based at the University of Minnesota Medical Center and provide telemedicine coverage for other hospitals in the M Health Fairview system. Typical duties include seeing 6 to 8 patients per day, working with a team of providers, and coordinating coverage schedules.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited ACGME Psychiatry residency and Consult Liaison fellowship program.
- Board eligible/certified with the ABPN.
- Licensed or eligible to obtain medical license and DEA in Minnesota.
- Ability to obtain work authorization in the U.S. and meet VISA requirements.
Pay and Benefits
This role is jointly employed by the University of Minnesota Physicians and the University of Minnesota, with a competitive salary based on experience and qualifications, ranging from $224,256 to $310,002.
