Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Coverage Needed:

• Schedule: Call only
• Specific Dates: Sept 8-22

Clinical Details:

• Inpatient Psychiatry
• Average of 8-14 patients per day, shared with a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
• 14-bed unit, rounds split with mental health FNP
• Sign off on Involuntary Commitment (IVC) paperwork within 24 hours
• EMR: MediTech
• Support Staff: 20 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 FNP, 1 RN Director, 1 Practice Manager, 1 Physician Marketing Director
  • required to supervise APPs
• Call: In-House
  • 3 phone consults, 1-2 admissions per shift
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
  • Call ratio: 1:2
• Rounding Patients: Assigned, Unassigned
• Admissions required

Requirements:

• Active NC License
• BLS
• Fellowship preferred
