Facility & Clinical Setting
  • Setting: Inpatient Psychiatry
  • Beds: 14-bed inpatient psych unit
  • EMR: Meditech
  • Call Type: In-house
  • Call Ratio: 1:2
  • Call Response Time: 30 minutes
  • Average Call Volume: 2-3 phone consults
  • Average Admissions: 1-2 per shift
  • Patients per Day: 8-14 total, split between physician and FNP
  • Assigned/Unassigned Rounding: Yes
  • Support Staff:
    • 1 Full-time FNP
    • 20 RNs
    • 4 CNAs
    • 1 RN Director
    • 1 Practice Manager
    • 1 Physician Marketing Director
Clinical Duties
  • Rounding as required during business hours
  • Shared rounding with mental health FNP
  • Sign-off required on IVC paperwork within 24 hours
  • Must sign all required documentation for full-time FNP
  • Admissions and rounding included during scheduled shifts
  • Call-back needs vary depending on census and patient needs
Licensure & Certifications
  • Active North Carolina Medical License - Required
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Psychiatry - Required
  • Fellowship Trained in Psychiatry - Preferred
  • BLS Certification - Required
