Job Description

Salary: $95,000 - $120,000

Under the guidance of the Regional Plant Director, the Plant General Manager will lead a team to drive operational strategies that align with the company’s culture and long-term goals to exceed customer expectations. This individual provides oversight to an assigned plant, ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety, regulatory, production, and waste management goals within their region. They will ensure proper handling and treatment of all waste streams in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Support and develop managers and supervisors through coaching, feedback, and performance appraisals aligned with company goals and safety standards.
  • Make recommendations on salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, and dismissals.
  • Participate in recruitment and hiring of plant staff.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to communicate issues, changes, and developments.
  • Oversee workforce training and development.
  • Provide technical support and assist in training content development.

Safety, Security, and Compliance

  • Promote safety and security initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and train on safety protocols.
  • Address hazards and unsafe conditions promptly.

Customer Experience Management

  • Resolve customer issues promptly to maintain service quality and grow the business.

Operational Excellence

  • Improve productivity and safety standards.

Inbound & Waste Processing

  • Monitor and adapt to changes in waste management regulations and standards.
  • Oversee waste processing and ensure regulatory compliance.

Shipping & Plant Management

  • Supervise shipping processes and facility management.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in a related field, including plant management software, DoT regulations, transportation logistics, and vehicular maintenance.
  • Proven leadership experience of at least 7 years.
  • Experience in the hazardous waste industry required.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and budgeting.

Skills

  • Independent work ethic, effective communication, leadership, budget management, DOT regulations knowledge, and proficiency with software applications.
