Director of Business Development, Defense | Hybrid | DC / Denver / Huntsville – Autonomous Technology

We’re supporting a leader in navigation and autonomy technology as they expand their U.S. defense footprint. Already active in key programs, they’re hiring a Business Development Executive to build on that momentum and lead commercial growth across new and adjacent programs.

This role is ideal for someone who combines a technical understanding of APNT/ INS with a proven track record selling into primes and navigating complex DoD landscapes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Win new business with major primes and mid-tier defense integrators
  • Strategically map adjacent program opportunities and go-to-market pathways
  • Align commercial, product, and technical teams on defense growth initiatives
  • Champion navigation technology as a core enabler of targeting and system performance
  • Build trusted relationships through demos, briefings, and customer engagement

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years in BD or technical sales within defense environments
  • Experience with missile systems, propulsion, guidance, or targeting tech
  • Knowledge of how navigation solutions integrate into wider system architectures
  • Proven success working with primes and understanding DoD procurement
  • Strong communication skills – comfortable across both technical and commercial conversations
  • U.S. Person required
