Director of Business Development, Defense | Hybrid | DC / Denver / Huntsville – Autonomous Technology We’re supporting a leader in navigation and autonomy technology as they expand their U.S. defense footprint. Already active in key programs, they’re hiring a Business Development Executive to build on that momentum and lead commercial growth across new and adjacent programs. This role is ideal for someone who combines a technical understanding of APNT/ INS with a proven track record selling into primes and navigating complex DoD landscapes. Key Responsibilities Win new business with major primes and mid-tier defense integrators Strategically map adjacent program opportunities and go-to-market pathways Align commercial, product, and technical teams on defense growth initiatives Champion navigation technology as a core enabler of targeting and system performance Build trusted relationships through demos, briefings, and customer engagement Key Requirements 5+ years in BD or technical sales within defense environments Experience with missile systems, propulsion, guidance, or targeting tech Knowledge of how navigation solutions integrate into wider system architectures Proven success working with primes and understanding DoD procurement Strong communication skills – comfortable across both technical and commercial conversations U.S. Person required If you’ve worked in or around defense programs, sold into primes, and thrive in complex, fast-moving environments – this is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the future of navigation in U.S. defense.
