Job Summary
The Account Manager works with Advisors/Client Executives and Account Executives to service client accounts, requiring daily client interaction through verbal, electronic, and written communication. Responsibilities include managing renewals, marketing processes, and preparing presentation materials collaboratively. The role involves significant independent discretion, developing client and carrier relationships, and supporting the Account Management Team, especially for small BOB clients.
Location
This role reports to our Plainview, NY or Warrington, PA office with a hybrid schedule. Remote options are considered for experienced PCG/HNW candidates on the East Coast familiar with these markets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with carrier and client contacts and participate actively in meetings
- Prepare and send RFPs to insurance carriers, spreadsheet results, and draft renewal presentations
- Review proposals and source documents for accuracy in collaboration with team members, and communicate directly with clients and carriers with approval
- Create and maintain client files and keep policy records in the agency management system
- Address billing questions from clients and insurance personnel, with assistance from the Accounting Department
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Highly organized with excellent communication skills
- Self-confident and able to make independent decisions
- Effective in team and autonomous settings
- Professional, courteous, and calm in handling situations
- Customer-focused with strong relationship skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook; CRM experience (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail, adaptability, and decision-making skills
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training preferred
- Over 3 years of industry experience, specifically in Personal Lines/PCG coverage
- Familiarity with markets like AIG, Chubb/ACE, PURE
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel; CRM experience required
- Property & Casualty Broker's License required; CIC, CPCU, or similar preferred
