AWS/CES is now hiring Industrial Electricians for a growing team in Fort Wayne, IN ! This is a temp-to-hire opportunity starting at $32 per hour , with training on the 1st shift and transition to the 2nd shift . A $0.65/hr shift premium applies for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Top performers are eligible to earn up to $36.25/hr after 90 days.
Job Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair CNC machines, PLCs, and robotic systems (Fanuc, Rockwell Logix)
- Modify and program machine control logic and robotic sequences
- Install, test, and maintain control equipment, wiring systems, motors, transformers, and circuit breakers
- Perform equipment layout from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Assemble, install, and test conduit systems using hand and power tools
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and thermal couple calibrations for furnaces
- Maintain accurate work orders in Emaint daily
- Follow all plant safety policies and procedures
- Support weekend coverage rotation ("trickman" schedule); weekends off every fourth month
- Valid Journeyperson card or 8+ years of trade-related experience (must be verifiable)
- Knowledge of 480V, 110V, 220V, and 3-phase electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Hands-on experience with industrial power distribution, hydraulics, and equipment installation
- Experience with Rockwell Logix, Fanuc robotics, CNC machines, and preventative maintenance systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Frequent standing and walking; occasional crawling, climbing, and crouching
- Light to heavy lifting (up to 50+ lbs) occasionally required
- Repetitive hand, arm, and shoulder motion as needed
- Start on 1st shift for training (90-day probationary period)
- Move to 2nd shift with potential transition to 3rd shift based on plant needs
- Includes rotating weekend coverage (3 months on, 1 month off)
