Job Description

This position focuses on resolving non-performing loans and managing REO (Real Estate Owned) assets across office, retail, mall, and industrial properties. The role includes credit analysis of commercial mortgage-backed securities, with a strong focus on agency debt.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Model cash flows and property valuations in Excel and ARGUS for complex, multi-tenant commercial assets.
  • Evaluate commercial leases, using NPV analysis for existing and prospective tenants.
  • Conduct market research for asset valuation, leveraging broker relationships, third-party tools, and knowledge of capital markets.
  • Perform on-site property inspections and meet with property management teams nationwide.
  • Oversee third-party property managers, construction managers, and leasing agents.
  • Manage defaulted mortgages and REO properties, analyzing property values and presenting findings to the credit committee.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal policies for loan and REO portfolio.
  • Communicate analysis and conclusions to clients through written reports and direct interactions.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Background in structured finance or commercial real estate.
  • Proficiency in ARGUS Enterprise, with at least 2 years of experience in asset management, CRE finance, development, or brokerage.
  • Strong analytical skills for complex spreadsheet and financial model work.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including in new markets.
  • Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines.
