The Asset Manager (Senior Associate) will be responsible for maximizing the financial performance and long-term value of a designated portfolio of trophy class commercial office, residential, and mixed-use properties in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. This includes developing and executing asset-level strategies, analyzing financial performance, identifying value-add opportunities, and managing joint venture relationships. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of real estate finance, operations, and market dynamics, with a proven track record of success in asset management.
Key Responsibilities Oversee property-level financial performance, budgets, and business plans Manage the monthly and quarterly financial review process for assigned assets Monitor leasing, capital projects, and operating expenses Coordinate with property managers, leasing brokers, and vendors Prepare internal reporting packages and variance analyses Review and approve property-level budgets and reforecasts Supervise and mentor assigned Analyst Contribute to asset-level strategy discussions and hold/sell recommendations Participate in annual strategic planning and valuation exercises Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field 5+ years of real estate asset management or closely related experience with a focus on commercial office, residential, and/or mixed-use properties. Strong understanding of property financials, lease structures, and operations Proficiency in Excel; Argus and Yardi experience required Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and real estate financial software (e.g., Argus Enterprise). Demonstrated understanding of real estate investment principles, market analysis, and property valuation techniques. Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and lead support staff
