Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 | Bonus Eligible

Are you passionate about nonprofit law and ready to work with mission-driven organizations that make a difference? Our client, a well-established Boston-based boutique law firm , is seeking a skilled and experienced Nonprofit Corporate and Tax Attorney to join its collaborative and dynamic team.
Required Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the Massachusetts Bar, or eligibility to waive in
- 3+ years of legal experience in nonprofit tax and corporate law
- Deep knowledge of federal tax-exempt organization regulations , including the Internal Revenue Code and related IRS rulings
- Experience advising charitable organizations , foundations , or public interest entities
- Strong research, analytical, and writing skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with clients and team members
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients on nonprofit formation and secure federal tax-exempt status under IRC 501(c)(3) and other sections
- Counsel tax-exempt organizations and Massachusetts public charities on compliance, governance, and regulatory obligations
- Structure and facilitate mergers , corporate affiliations , and entity restructurings
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on tax , corporate , and state/local regulatory issues
- Draft, review, and negotiate governance documents, commercial contracts, and other legal agreements
- Stay current on developments in nonprofit tax law , charitable solicitation laws , and relevant IRS and state agency guidance
