Our client is a leading ENR-ranked, mid-sized General Contractor headquartered in Columbus, Ohio . Known for its strong culture of mentorship, internal promotion, and long-term career growth, the company has a proven track record delivering complex construction projects across a variety of sectors, including Higher Education, K-12, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, Retail, and Multi-Family . Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their team.


Position Overview:

The Construction Project Manager will oversee and manage the full lifecycle of ground-up and renovation construction projects ranging from $5M to $20M+ . This role is office-based in Columbus , with no travel required. The ideal candidate will be capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while delivering results that align with client expectations, budget, schedule, and company standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of assigned projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Lead project teams including Superintendents, Project Engineers, and subcontractors
  • Develop and track project schedules, budgets, and financial reports
  • Oversee subcontractor buyout, contract execution, and performance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company protocols
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, architects, and consultants
  • Resolve project-related issues and facilitate decision-making in a timely manner


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager with a general contractor
  • Experience managing commercial construction projects of at least $5 million in value
  • Sector experience in education, healthcare, commercial, industrial, or multi-family is a plus
  • Proficiency with construction management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field preferred but not required
