Primary Function

The Loss Draft Claims Specialist assists with the day-to-day operations of the loss draft claims functions, including training team members, monitoring internal and vendor reporting, and ensuring timely processing of processes. The department also ensures compliance with all applicable regulations and investor guidelines.

Principal Duties:
  • Build, review, and post the daily disbursement batch to the vendor.
  • Complete research tasks and exception reports accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain current insurance information in the system through reports and logs.
  • Request payoff quotes as needed.
  • Review incoming claim checks as needed.
  • Perform responsibilities timely with minimal errors.
  • Respond to email requests from vendors and internal partners.
  • Communicate accurately with vendors based on research.
  • Perform related duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years relevant experience in mortgage banking or real estate financing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Sound decision-making based on policies, procedures, knowledge, and experience.
