Summary
The Sourcing Specialist II is responsible for supporting the company's global procurement activities, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and services. This role focuses on supplier identification, supplier management, cost initiatives, continuous improvement, and ensuring that all procurement activities align with the company's operational and strategic objectives. Sourcing Specialist II works closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers to optimize the supply chain and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities
Sourcing and Procurement:

  • Research and identify qualified suppliers globally to meet company needs for quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Conduct RFQs (Request for Quotations) and RFPs (Request for Proposals) to evaluate suppliers' capabilities and competitiveness.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts in alignment with company objectives and policies.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, quality, logistics, and finance teams to align sourcing activities with production schedules and business goals.
  • Provide support to the Sourcing Manager in developing and executing sourcing strategies.
Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent quality and delivery performance.
  • Monitor supplier performance using established metrics (quality, delivery, cost, and service) and address any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with suppliers on improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.
Cost Management:
  • Perform cost analysis and market benchmarking to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies to reduce costs while maintaining quality and reliability.
  • Manage resourcing projects. Document and communicate cost savings and project timelines with internal stakeholders.
Risk Management & Compliance:
  • Identify potential risks in the supply chain and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Support the development of contingency plans to address supply disruptions or changes in market conditions.
  • Ensure all sourcing activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and international trade regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and performance evaluations.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, engineering, or related.
  • 3+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience working with international suppliers is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience with ERP systems and procurement tools; advanced skills in Excel and data analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to supplier and manufacturing sites.
Key Metrics for Success:
  • Cost savings achieved through sourcing activities.
  • Supplier performance metrics (on-time delivery, quality standards, etc.).
  • Accuracy and timeliness of data and reporting.
  • Contribution to company-wide operational efficiency and profitability.

Wages
$75,000 - $85,000
