Here Is What You Will Need
  • Bachelors degree in education, Instructional Design, Human Resources/Organizational Development, Psychology, or related field (Masters preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in instructional design models, adult learning theory and application to learning design; evaluation of learning transfer to effective job performance, and performance consulting
  • Ability to design and create engaging and effective learning materials (e-learning, instructor led and blended)
  • Experience with instructional design software/tools such as Articulate 360.
  • Experience and confidence using virtual platforms such as Teams, Zoom, WebEx, etc.
  • Experience with LMS platforms (Cornerstone preferred)
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and project management skills
  • Ability to work both collaboratively as part of a team and as a self-starter, independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adapt communication and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels, and the ability to communicate effectively using a range of techniques
  • Experience of taking ownership of stakeholders, proactively understanding their needs and seeking to find the best possible solution to their queries
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects with specific deadlines and organize time to deliver with a high level of attention to detail in an atmosphere of ongoing change and continuous improvement
  • Strong change management experience and supporting change through training
A Day in the Life of a Learning & Development Specialist:
  • Provide services and support for the following areas:
    • Support the development of a long-term L&D strategy alongside the Senior Director, L&D, identifying skills gaps, development of pathways and training to support teams across Solis.
    • Develop skills matrices and identify training and development needs to influence future L&D activities across the organization in line with L&D strategy.
    • Conduct needs assessments and performance analyses to identify learning and development opportunities aligned with business goals.
    • Design, develop, and deliver training programs and learning experiences using instructional design best practices (including eLearning, instructor-led, virtual, and blended formats).
    • Evaluate learning effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and data analysis; recommend improvements to enhance impact.
    • Act as a strategic learning partner to operational departments and clinical educators to align learning with performance outcomes.
    • Administer the organizations LMS (e.g., assign courses, troubleshoot issues, run reports, maintain learning records).
    • Curate content and develop learning pathways within Solis University LMS in alignment with organizational learning goals.
    • Support the management and curation of knowledge resources to ensure employees have access to up-to-date guidance, SOPs, and reference tools.
    • Manage communications relating to L&D including emails, meetings and communication of training opportunities through Solis University.
    • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders to ensure educational compliance with regulatory and accrediting bodies.
    • Identify, engage, and manage third-party training vendors to supplement internal training capabilities.
    • Stay current with industry best practices in healthcare education, instructional technology, and adult learning.
