Job Overview:
The Financial Advisor II in Wealth Management provides essential support to senior advisors in managing and enhancing client portfolios, delivering personalized financial planning, and contributing to the overall success of the wealth management team. The role involves direct interaction with high-net-worth individuals, conducting investment research, and preparing strategic recommendations that align with clients financial goals and objectives. This position is pivotal in helping clients grow and protect their wealth while delivering an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Support:
- Collaborate with senior advisors to manage client relationships, ensuring timely responses to inquiries and providing proactive financial guidance.
- Assist in client onboarding, including gathering financial data, conducting risk assessments, and reviewing account documentation.
- Participate in client meetings and calls, preparing agenda items and follow-up action items.
- Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Conduct financial analysis, including cash flow projections, portfolio reviews, and asset allocation strategies, to support client financial plans.
- Prepare personalized financial plans that address retirement, estate planning, tax strategies, investment management, and insurance needs.
- Regularly monitor client accounts and portfolios, making adjustments and providing recommendations based on market conditions and client objectives.
- Investment Research & Portfolio Management:
- Conduct thorough research on investments, including stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and alternative investment options.
- Analyze market trends and economic data to inform investment strategies and recommendations.
- Assist senior advisors in developing and executing investment strategies tailored to client goals and risk tolerance.
- Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure that all client documentation complies with regulatory standards and firm policies, maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.
- Manage client data and records in financial planning software, ensuring that all updates are recorded and accessible for team use.
- Assist in preparing regulatory reports, risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to fiduciary responsibilities.
- Team Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with the wealth management team to deliver seamless service to clients, collaborating on strategy and execution.
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior advisors to deliver during client reviews and strategy sessions.
- Provide administrative and project management support as needed to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of services.
- Professional Development & Client Education:
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, investment products, tax laws, and regulatory changes.
- Contribute to client education by helping develop financial literacy materials, workshops, or seminars on wealth management topics.
- Pursue relevant certifications (e.g., CFP, CFA) to advance knowledge and expertise in wealth management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in wealth management, financial advisory, or related roles.
- Progress toward or attainment of CFP, CFA, or similar certification strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of investment products, portfolio management, and financial planning principles.
- Proficiency in wealth management software (e.g., eMoney, Orion) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple client relationships and tasks simultaneously.
