Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Data Modeler

with a deep understanding of the

Life Insurance domain

and hands-on experience with the

FINEOS platform . The ideal candidate will lead the design and maintenance of conceptual, logical, and physical data models that support business intelligence, analytics, and operational data needs across the organization.

Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain

enterprise data models

(conceptual, logical, and physical) for Life Insurance systems and data assets. Translate business requirements into well-structured data models to support transactional, analytical, and operational reporting. Collaborate with stakeholders, including business analysts, data architects, and application developers, to understand data needs and align with enterprise data standards. Work closely with FINEOS implementation teams to model and map

policy administration ,

claims ,

billing , and

customer data

from FINEOS into enterprise data structures. Maintain and evolve

data dictionaries ,

data lineage , and

metadata

to ensure clarity, consistency, and governance across systems. Assist in integrating FINEOS data with downstream systems such as data lakes, warehouses, and BI tools. Support data quality and reconciliation processes by ensuring models align with source systems and regulatory reporting requirements. Contribute to data governance efforts by ensuring models adhere to privacy, security, and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOX). Provide mentorship and oversight to junior modelers and data analysts. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Actuarial Science, or a related field. 7+ years of experience

in data modeling within

Life Insurance , with in-depth knowledge of policy, underwriting, claims, billing, and customer data. Proven expertise with

FINEOS -understanding of its data structures, APIs, and integration patterns. Strong experience with

data modeling tools

(e.g., Erwin, PowerDesigner, ER/Studio, Toad Data Modeler). Deep understanding of

data warehousing ,

data marts , and

data lakes

in the context of insurance. Proficiency in

SQL

and understanding of relational, dimensional, and NoSQL modeling. Experience working in both

on-prem

and

cloud-based environments

(AWS, Azure, or GCP). Familiarity with

data governance ,

lineage , and

master data management (MDM)

practices. Strong communication skills and ability to translate complex data concepts to business users. Requirements

Experience with

ETL/ELT tools

(e.g., Informatica, Talend, dbt) and

reporting platforms

(e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Knowledge of

regulatory and compliance

frameworks relevant to Life Insurance. Exposure to

Agile/Scrum

methodology and tools like JIRA, Confluence. Certification in data modeling or insurance analytics is a plus. Benefits
