The University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Digital Strategy Team, within the Office of Strategic Communication, is looking for a Certified Project Manager III Top 3 Skills & Years of Experience: \- Minimum of two years experience managing website / web application projects. \- Minimum of two years experience setting project goals, scope, and timeline, as well as regularly reporting on project status and forecasting team workload. \- Minimum of two years experience using Asana, GitLab, or similar project management platform. Nice to Have: \- Experience with both Agile and waterfall project management methodologies. \- Project management certification such as Scrum certification or Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification. Interview Process (Virtual/On Site/Phone): Virtual. Interviews will be conducted on Aug 20 between 8:30-4pm CST Duration of the Contract: Contract will end 12/9/25. Manager would like candidate to start by Sept 2. Onsite or Remote? Candidates MUST be WI residents or willing to relocate to WI at their own expense prior to starting. This position can work 100% remote (within the state of WI). Project Details: The Digital Strategy Team, within the Office of Strategic Communication, is seeking a temporary web project manager to help the team build innovative, well-engineered websites while informing the online strategy for the University of Wisconsin–Madison. We are a supportive unit that offers continuous learning opportunities and a collaborative environment. Our dynamic team creates websites that serve the entire UW–Madison campus. The university's gateway site (www.wisc.edu), the official UW Wordpress theme, and the campus news site and alumni magazine are a few of the web properties in our portfolio. Our ideal candidate will embrace working with digital and user experience designers, developers, and writers to create and improve UW websites. Our team currently uses a combination of agile and waterfall methodologies to manage multiple concurrent projects, in collaboration with colleagues throughout the university. We are looking for a talented project manager to guide our UW Theme 2.0 project through the finish line. Our team values organization, flexibility and a sense of humor. You will collaborate with a growing team of designers, user experience experts, and developers. This position reports to the Digital Director who values team players with a can-do attitude.
